Interim Management Mandates

CEO green.ch/Green Datacenter AG (2016 until 2019)

The Green Group consists of green.ch, an Internet Service provider, and Green Datacenter AG, the largest commercial datacenter operator in Switzerland. The datacenter business has grown significantly during the past years and Green Datacenter expanded its facilities in Zurich West and Zürich City. The company extended its business focus from classical colocation customers (from single racks to entire data halls) to high density datacenter offerings for global cloud suppliers. In order to finance the incremental investments in infrastructure, the company has been changing ownership in 2018.

Interim CIO SAG Group (2014 - 2015)

Swiss Automotive Group (SAG) offers a complete range of services for the vehicle maintenance market in various European countries.  SAG Informatik AG is the internal ICT provider for all of SAGs companies. The executive management had to be replaced short notice and the company was faced with numerous pending projects waiting for completion. The mandate included the overall lead of the service company with software development, business analysis and operations. In parallel a large project for the replacement of the ERP system had to be initiated.

Interim CEO, strategy change - Telecom Liechtenstein (2011 -2014)

The changing market conditions affected the profitability of the national telecom provider of the small state Liechtenstein. At the same time the CEO position was vacated and needed to be filled temporarily. The government owned company also needed to reposition its strategy to find a sustainable structure. The mandate included the operational management of the company as well as leading the strategy process together with an external consultant and the government. The short-term profitability could be restored and the strategy process resulted in a planned trade sale of the company to the neighboring Swisscom. The execution of the complex contract structure required the consent of the parliament which finally decided against a sale. Subsequently new options had to be developed to ensure a sustainable availability of telco services in Liechtenstein.

Launch of the national electronic identity (SuisseID) – SwissSign, Schweizerische Post (2010)

SwissSign, a company of Swiss Post, is specialized in security products and services. They were one of two organizations, mandated by the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs, to launch the new electronic identity and electronic signature services. The program responsibility included the preparation, market launch and sales of the newly created solution.
